White House suspends H-1B and PERM processing for eight tech companies
The Trump administration has frozen new and pending H-1B visa and PERM labor certification applications for Microsoft, Adobe, Cognizant, Tata, Wipro, Infosys, HCL and Capgemini. Vice President J.D. Vance called Microsoft the "biggest abuser," saying it laid off 6,000 workers in 2015 while adding 6,300 H-1B hires and 3,000 green-card workers.
