China Rejects Claims After Claude Code Logs Allegedly Expose Hacker of Nine South Korean Banks

At least nine South Korean banks and financial institutions were hit by cyberattacks between late September and early October 2026. CrowdStrike says the attacker used the open-source AI pentesting tool ARTEX, while leaked Claude Code logs identified a 26-year-old student in Guangdong who claims he was framed. China's Foreign Ministry dismissed the accusations as politically motivated false information.
