Female-presenting AI agents 'paid' 10.25% less than male ones
A University of Limerick study placed 189 workers in a VR office and found that a female-presenting AI agent, Johanna, was paid 10.25% less than a male-presenting Johan for identical work on the same underlying technology. Participants also trusted human-like agents more than a desk robot.
