Microsoft unveils local AI coding model and MXC agent security for Windows
At an event in San Francisco, Microsoft introduced an AI coding model that runs locally on PCs and Microsoft Execution Containers (MXC), a tool to stop AI agents from accessing data without permission. It also showed the Surface Laptop Ultra with Nvidia RTX Spark chips, priced from $2,599 to $5,899. Anthropic, OpenAI and Nvidia will use the tools.
