Microsoft claims Surface Laptop Ultra is up to 6.2x faster than M5 Pro MacBook in AI

At its October 7 Windows event, Microsoft launched the Surface Laptop Ultra with Nvidia's RTX Spark chip and claimed it is up to 6.2x faster than a 16-inch MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and 64GB of memory in local AI tasks. The comparison covers only time-to-first-token and image generation, with no CPU, battery life or everyday performance data disclosed.
