AWS MCP Server expands to six new regions
AWS has expanded availability of its managed MCP server for AI agents to eight regions, adding Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Ireland, London and Oregon. The server gives agents secure access to AWS via the Model Context Protocol, including CLI command execution, documentation search and curated skills.
- New regions: Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Ireland, London and Oregon
- The MCP server is now available in eight AWS regions
- Works with Claude, Codex, Cursor and Kiro
- Local endpoints cut latency and keep data in-region
