AirTrunk to invest another $1bn in Inzai data center, Japan total to reach $30bn

AirTrunk plans to invest an additional $1 billion in its TOK1 data center campus in Inzai, Japan, to expand capacity and deploy liquid cooling for high-density AI workloads. The expansion is funded by a $1 billion green loan led by SMBC, MUFG and UOB. Total investment in Japan will reach $9 billion, with a five-year target of $27–30 billion and capacity growing from 530MW to over 1GW.
