LlamaIndex launches OpenDocRouter, a unified API for document parsing

LlamaIndex released OpenDocRouter, a hosted platform that turns PDFs and images into markdown through a single API. It offers five frontier models (Claude Opus 5.5, Gemini 3 Flash, GPT-6 Luna and others) and five open-source models, all benchmarked on ParseBench for quality and cost.

• Claude Opus 5.5 scores 84.20 on ParseBench at $48.82 per 1,000 pages
• GPT-6 Luna scores 71.34 at $0.80 per 1,000 pages
• API accepts PDF, PNG and JPEG up to 50 MB or 500 pages
• Token-based billing with prepaid credits from $25 plus a 5% fee
