Ex-Flipkart executives seek ESOP buyback from Walmart amid IPO uncertainty
Former Flipkart executives, including ex-CEO Mukesh Bansal, ex-CFO Sanjay Baweja and ex-CBO Ankit Nagori, have asked Walmart's board to buy back their vested employee stock options granted 10–15 years ago. Walmart's July buyback valued Flipkart at about $38.2 Bn, but employees could sell only up to 5% of vested options. The IPO has been deferred to 2028 as Walmart targets a $50 Bn valuation.
