BYD files dual-chamber battery cabinet that submerges cells in cooling liquid
BYD has filed patent application CN 122868832 A for a battery and energy-storage cabinet that places modules in dielectric fluid in a lower chamber while keeping electrical equipment in a dry upper chamber. Filed in March 2025 and published by CNIPA on October 5, 2026, the design routes connections through the top of the wet chamber to reduce hydrostatic pressure. No commercial production plans were announced.
