KOSPI falls 1.98% to 6,803.90 ahead of Samsung Q3 earnings

South Korea's KOSPI closed down 137.49 points (-1.98%) at 6,803.90 on October 7 as foreign and institutional investors dumped semiconductor heavyweights before Samsung's Q3 report. KOSDAQ fell 2.34% to 898.43. Samsung dropped 1.09% to 273,000 won and SK hynix slid 3.10% to 1,784,000 won.
