Claude Code v2.1.283 runs a model call per command for safety checks

In Claude Code v2.1.283, auto mode is now the default permission mode: a background classifier on Claude Sonnet 5 replaces the approval prompt. On Enterprise plans and API keys these calls count toward token usage, and broad allow rules are dropped when entering auto mode.
