Telstra launches longest Aura Network route linking Perth and Sydney
Telstra activated the Perth-Sydney route of its Aura Network on October 7, 2026, the longest link in its national intercity fibre network. The build has reached 9,000 of a planned 14,000 kilometres as part of a $1.8 billion investment in Australian digital infrastructure.
