AI Safety Nonprofits Allegedly Paid YouTubers for AI Risk Content Without Disclosure

According to a Telegraph report, AI-safety nonprofits including ControlAI, funded by Skype co-founder Jaan Tallinn, allegedly paid YouTubers to produce content warning about AI risks without clear disclosure. The Plzdontkillus program offered free housing, food, a $2,000 stipend and up to $20,000 in prizes for daily videos. The campaign reportedly generated over 6.3 million views.
