US court to decide who owns AI meme Tung Tung Tung Sahur

In the US District Court for the Northern District of California, Do Big Studios (Spyder Games and Speedy Simulator Gaming) is suing French agency Mementum, which represents the creator of the Tung Tung Tung Sahur meme, over the character's use in the Roblox game Steal a Brainrot. The plaintiff argues the AI-generated character, created in 15 minutes with seven prompts, is not protected by copyright because it requires human authorship.
