Infineon opens Thailand chip hub with workforce heading to 1,000
Infineon opened a backend semiconductor hub in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on Oct. 1, 2026, with about 350 employees and plans to grow to roughly 1,000 as its first production building ramps up. Module A offers about 30,000 square meters of cleanroom space and is expected to reach full utilization in 2027.
