University of Illinois Chicago hit by ransomware attack on medical school
UIC disclosed a ransomware attack that disrupted some College of Medicine systems and involved data theft. The Booba gang claimed to have stolen 344 GB; an investigation is underway to determine whether personal, research or academic information was compromised.
