Japan tests first hydrogen-engine tanker in Osaka Bay
Japan demonstrated a 4,800-dwt coastal tanker powered by a hydrogen-fired four-stroke engine, described as a world first. The vessel sailed about 20 miles in Osaka Bay on September 25, cutting CO2 emissions by roughly 1.2 tons versus conventional fuel.
