Trump names intelligence chief Clayton as AI czar to head task force
US President Donald Trump has appointed Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton as the administration's AI czar. He will lead a new "Super Intelligence Force" panel tasked with reporting within 120 days on the risks and opportunities posed by AI.
- Clayton is the second AI czar under Trump, after David Sacks
- The panel must report on AI risks and opportunities within 120 days
- Vice chairs: Emil Michael, Scott Kupor and FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson
- Members include Vance, Hegseth, Bessent and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles
