Anthropic said roughly 950 parallel Claude sessions spent 21 hours and 210 million tokens scanning a DNA database, narrowing 200,000 reverse transcriptases to 3,500 candidates and 20 reports, with one system, ART, confirmed in the lab. Reruns of the same search missed the target region 10 times out of 10.
