MEGATRON simulations recreate the era of the first stars
The MEGATRON project, led by the University of Bath with partners in Chicago and Paris, published four studies in the Open Journal of Astrophysics. The simulations link JWST observations of young galaxies with chemical fingerprints preserved in the oldest Milky Way stars. The project has been granted 40 million processor hours on UK national supercomputers and runs through 2030.
