GitHub adds computer use to Copilot on macOS and Windows

GitHub launched computer use in public preview, letting Copilot CLI and its desktop app read app content and click, type, scroll and drag in GUI-only software without APIs or MCP. GitHub advises using direct tools like APIs and MCP servers first, since desktop interaction is less predictable.

• Feature is enabled with /computer on in Copilot CLI or in app settings
• macOS requires Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions
• GitHub recommends APIs, MCP servers and terminal over GUI control
• Enterprise managed-settings.json can block the feature
