US Army picks armored humanoid robot Alex in xTechHumanoid competition
The US Army named five winners of its xTechHumanoid competition, including the armored humanoid Alex built by IHMC with impact-resilient actuators and hybrid AI-human autonomy. The contest drew 103 white papers, with nine finalists demonstrating at Quantico on Sept. 9-10 and winners announced Sept. 11.
