ZuckOff detects camera glasses nearby via BLE fingerprints

Polish developer Pawel Szydlowski released ZuckOff, a free iOS and Android app that reads BLE advertisement packets to flag nearby camera-equipped glasses such as Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Snap Spectacles. It has drawn about 5,000 users in its first month and only indicates camera-capable hardware in range, not active recording.

• The app maps manufacturer IDs in BLE packets to a glasses catalog: 0x0D53 for Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, 0x03C2 for Snap Spectacles
• About 5,000 users in the first month on the App Store; no account required and data stays on the phone
• It cannot prove recording is happening or give direction, only a rough distance from signal strength
• Meta's August 28, 2026 update stops recording when the LED indicator is covered
