Space Marine 2 Gets Massive Free Update and Year 3 Roadmap

Focus Entertainment released a major free update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 to mark the game's second anniversary. It adds Chaos Siege mode, the Crucible system with Penance debuffs, a one-handed hammer and a Tactical class rework, with the free Apothecary class coming in 2027.

• Chaos Siege mode lets players fight as Chaos Space Marines across two new Avarax sectors
• Crucible system equips Penances — debuffs that raise difficulty in exchange for rewards
• One-handed hammer added for Tactical, Assault, Bulwark and Techmarine classes
• Free Apothecary class, new weapons and operations planned for 2027
