Researchers generate nearly indistinguishable photons for quantum communication
Researchers from Paderborn University, the University of Basel and Ruhr University Bochum demonstrated how semiconductor nanostructures can generate single photons and photon pairs that are almost perfectly identical. The work, published in Physical Review Letters, underpins quantum entanglement and quantum interference.
