Tesla launches Emergency Drive Away to leave Superchargers while plugged in
Tesla released Emergency Drive Away, letting drivers shift into Drive and leave while still plugged into a Supercharger. It requires software update 2026.38.3 and excludes Model S and Model X built before 2021. Tesla warns the feature will damage the vehicle and the charger.
