BMW restructuring bets on AI, 8,000 job cuts and new models
BMW unveiled a restructuring plan centred on AI, about 8,000 job cuts in Germany and two new model launches. The automaker targets a 3-5% core automotive margin by 2028 and 8-10% by the early 2030s, up from 2.3% now, while cutting divisions and management roles by a fifth by mid-2027.
