Alibaba: Qwen3.8-Max ran 33 autonomous training cycles without humans

At Apsara Conference Alibaba said its flagship Qwen3.8-Max completed 33 fully automated training and post-training cycles over more than a month with no human intervention, lifting its Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index from 40 to 45 while the model code stayed the same. The company also outlined plans for Qwen 4.5 and Qwen 5 models scaling to 5–10 trillion parameters and unveiled the Zhenwu V900 chip.
