New MAV Systems cameras can detect 'ghost plates'

UK firm MAV Systems has unveiled a camera that uses AI to analyze infrared and color images of license plates and flag 'ghost plates' that ANPR systems cannot read. In tests running nearly two years, police detected anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand ghost plates a day in busy areas.
