NEID Confirms 3.6-Earth-Mass Planet Around Star 57 Light-Years Away

The NEID spectrograph at Kitt Peak National Observatory confirmed planet HD 126053 b with a minimum mass of 3.6 Earth masses and a 10.91-day orbit around a Sun-like star 57 light-years away. It is among the least massive planets confirmed around solar-type stars within 25 parsecs.
