Cohere launches Embed 5 with Pro indexing and faster Fast queries

Cohere released Embed 5, letting teams index data with Embed 5 Pro and query the same vectors with the cheaper, faster Embed 5 Fast without building a second index. In Cohere's tests, Fast queries against a Pro index scored 98.4 versus a Pro-to-Pro baseline of 100, while Fast delivers 2.4x document throughput at $0.08 per million tokens versus $0.12 for Pro.
