Indonesia halts BDx 640MW AI data center over missing permits

West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi ordered BDx Data Centers to stop construction of its 640MW AI Campus 2 in Jatiluhur until building permits and an environmental impact assessment (AMDAL) are completed. BDx broke ground on the CGK4 campus on Sept. 22; its first 120MW phase was expected online in early 2027.

• BDx must complete AMDAL review and obtain a PBG building approval
• CGK4 campus is planned for 640MW of IT capacity across six buildings
• First 120MW phase was targeted to enter service in early 2027
• BDx secured 845 MVA of grid capacity from Indonesia's PLN
