EC proposes EU-wide emergency services communication network

The European Commission has proposed an EU Critical Communication System giving police, firefighters and medical services a single secure network with voice, photos and video. Member states would move from narrowband to broadband including 5G, backed by EU satellites, with rollout targeted for 2030 pending approval.
