Cyber threat detection vendors shift from MITRE to UK testing program

UK-based SE Labs has launched PIVOT, an independent testing program for cyber defense tools' resilience to hacker group attacks. Broadcom, CrowdStrike, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks and Sophos are participating, with results expected in January 2027.

Results to be reviewed by Gartner and Forrester analysts before publication
ATT&CK Evaluations: Enterprise lost participants: 30 in 2023, 19 in 2024, 11 in 2025
MITRE will run its 2026 evaluation and publish results in December
