Over half of UK businesses lack confidence in basic cyber skills

A UK government survey found 57% of businesses reported a basic technical cybersecurity skills gap, up from 49% a year earlier — roughly 808,000 organizations. Detecting and removing malware was the biggest weakness, cited by 38% of businesses, 47% of charities and 23% of public sector bodies.
