Raspberry Pi CEO: most generative AI inference will move to the edge by 2030

Raspberry Pi founder and CEO Eben Upton says AI compute is migrating from the network core to the edge: visual AI took about 10 years, while generative AI will take two to four. By the end of the decade, he predicts, the vast majority of generative AI inference will run at the edge rather than in data centers.
