Washington state's space industry doubles economic impact to $8.1B

Preliminary findings from a Space Northwest-commissioned study show Washington state's space economy contributes $8.1 billion in direct annual output, nearly double the $4.6 billion reported in 2022. The sector directly supports about 12,300 jobs and $2.3 billion in labor income, rising to 34,200 jobs and $12.4 billion including indirect effects.
