The AI boom has a bandwidth problem

Chinese optical transceiver maker Ligent Technologies will place about 172 million shares at HK$32.96, raising roughly HK$5.67 billion. Trading starts September 22 under code 9856, with the company valued at about HK$32.4 billion. Data center transceiver revenue grew from 25% in 2023 to 69.4% in H1 2026.
