Japan aims for 10 million AI robots by 2040

Japan's government has set a goal of deploying 10 million AI-driven robots in workplaces by 2040 to offset a shrinking workforce, with the population projected to fall to 112.2 million. Startup Zeals unveiled its wheeled D1 robot in Tokyo at 5 million yen (~$32,000) and plans to build 100 units by March 2027.
