AI firms push legal tools as lawyers face fines for fake citations

Google, Anthropic and SpaceXAI are rolling out AI products for lawyers even as courts fine attorneys for AI-generated fake case law. Google previewed Gemini Enterprise for Legal in August, while Anthropic released Claude Legal Solutions. Lawyer Shahryar Mazaheri was ordered to pay $31,150 over Grok-drafted citations.
