Webb captures rare gravitational lens in galaxy cluster MACS J0454.1-0300

The James Webb Space Telescope's latest Picture of the Month shows one of the most powerful examples of gravitational lensing. In the galaxy cluster MACS J0454.1-0300, five billion light-years away, quadruple images of the same galaxy appear twice in a single cluster for the first time; some regions are magnified 300 times.
