DGX Spark gets shared data center storage over NFS/RDMA

StorageReview built a Dell PowerEdge R770AP host with eight Solidigm D5-P5336 SSDs in RAID 5 and attached eight DGX Sparks over 100GbE. A 78GB Qwen3.5-122B-A10B-NVFP4 model loaded from the array in 269.6 seconds, within 13% of local NVMe, while eight Sparks loading the same copy finished in 232.8–326.5 seconds.

• Eight DGX Sparks from five OEMs mount NFS/RDMA shares with a one-line mount on stock Ubuntu
• 78GB model loaded from the array in 269.6s versus 239.6s from internal NVMe
• Eight-drive RAID 5 array peaked near 25GiB/s with all Sparks reading, 27% of 800Gb/s
• One governed copy replaces isolated 4TB M.2 drives on every desk
