Chainalysis: blockchain-assisted attacks up fivefold, driven by Iran and North Korea

Blockchain-assisted cyberattacks have risen 440% year over year, from 2.06 to 11.1 malicious on-chain writes per day, according to Chainalysis. Iranian and North Korean state actors and Russian-speaking groups are the main drivers, aided by freely available Chinese open-weight LLMs.
