PhonePe crosses 11 Bn monthly UPI transactions in August; G-Pay nears 8 Bn

According to NPCI, in August PhonePe processed 11.19 billion UPI transactions (45.64% volume) worth ₹14.26 lakh crore, while Google Pay handled 7.91 billion (32.26%). Total UPI transactions reached 24.51 billion worth ₹29.82 lakh crore. From October 15, some P2M payments above ₹2000 will incur a 0.4% MDR.

• PhonePe: 11.19 billion transactions, 45.64% volume and 47.82% value share
• Google Pay: 7.91 billion transactions, 32.26% volume and 33.78% value share
• Paytm third with 1.97 billion transactions, 8.03% volume
• Total UPI: 24.51 billion transactions worth ₹29.82 lakh crore
