OpenAI launches GPT-6 Sol and Luna, up to 50% cheaper than GPT-5.6

OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna, cost-efficient successors to GPT-5.6 variants and Astra. Sol targets demanding professional tasks, while Luna targets high-volume, cost-sensitive workloads. Both roll out through ChatGPT Work, Codex and the API, with Luna also available to Free and Go users via the desktop app.
