Honeywell pitches liquid-cooled P40 upgrade for US F-35 fleet

Honeywell Aerospace has unveiled its 40-kilowatt Power and Thermal Management System (P40) upgrade for the F-35 fleet, raising cooling capacity from 32 kW to 40 kW through software updates and targeted liquid-cooling improvements. Rollout is projected for 2029–2030, with future upgrades potentially reaching 62 kW.
