OpenID names first digital ID providers certified for OpenID4VP and OpenID4VCI

The OpenID Foundation has published its first list of organizations to self-certify implementations of OpenID4VP and OpenID4VCI with the High Assurance Interoperability Profile. Hopae, Lissi, Meeco, Scytales and ProtocolSoup are among the first, with tests free to run on their own servers.

• Certification covers wallet, verifier and issuer roles
• Protocols already used in the EU, UK, Switzerland, India and California
• 38 jurisdictions used the specs as of end-2025
