Amprius wins up to $75M US grant to build drone battery line

The U.S. Department of War awarded Amprius Technologies a grant of up to $75 million to convert an EV battery production line into a facility making drone batteries. The line is set to start in early 2028 with capacity for 12 million Amprius cells per year; the total project cost is about $100 million.
