World open-sources ProveKit to verify people without collecting IDs
World has open-sourced ProveKit, a system that confirms single facts about a person — citizenship or age — without handing over the document itself. A phone reads a passport chip or passkey and sends a proof under 1MB, with proving taking 2–3 seconds on an iPhone SE 3.
- ProveKit accepts e-passport chips, passkeys, anonymous credentials and Noir rules
- Proofs are under 1MB; proving takes 2–3 s on iPhone SE 3 and under 30 s on Moto E15
- No trusted setup is required and the system targets 128-bit post-quantum security
- Least Authority audited it; the tech already powers World ID
